Fleet Coordinator / Supervisor

• Offer guidance to contracted drivers
• Ensure that all drivers understand and procure the licenses and permits they need to legally carry loads to customer destinations
• Maintaining detailed records of servicing & inspections
• Scheduling regular vehicle maintenance to ensure operation efficiency
• Work closely with mechanic workshop team
• Ensure that all paperwork associated with each run is accurate and submitted to the proper people
• On call for drivers while on road for any maintenance issues
• Washing and detailing tour vehicle between each trip
• Shopping in preparation of tours

What you need:

4WD and mechanical aptitude, good people skills and be a team player.

Previous experience an advantage, as is knowledge of the areas we travel to.

Heritage 4WD specializes in extended tours to Cape York and the Gulf Savannah.

Tourism is not a “9 to 5” industry. Working for extended periods on different rosters is normal. A guide will work 10-14 hours per day and will spend their spare time researching to build their own destination knowledge.

Customer service and safety is the central focus of any role with Heritage Tours and the majority of your time will be spent away from your home.

All tour staff must have a current First Aid certificate. Tour guides must have a clean, current Queensland Medium Rigid vehicle licence, or the ability to obtain one, along with the mandatory driver authorization. 4WD and mechanical aptitude, good people skills and be a team player. Previous experience an advantage, as is knowledge of rainforest, Savannah, flora, fauna and history of Cape York and the Gulf.
